Ever since model Chrissy Teigen and singer John Legend announced they were pregnant the two have been really open about their pregnancy. Prior to becoming pregnant, Chrissy shared that she and John were having a difficult time conceiving.
Most recently, Teigen revealed People Magazine,
“I’ve made this decision. Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, ‘Let’s put in the girl.’ ”
The married coupled chose to go through with IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) for their pregnancy process and Chrissy excited to explain her reasoning for wanting to give birth to a daughter.
“I think I was most excited and allured by the fact that John would be the best father to a little girl. That excited me. It excited me to see … just the thought of seeing him with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond. A boy will come along. We’ll get there too, so it’s not like we really have to pick. But he definitely is very lucky to have a little girl. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa — it’s crazy!”
After the announcement of the two picking their baby’s gender came a great amount of backlash.
Twitter users quickly attacked Chrissy for her decision:
Once Teigen had enough of the harassment, she clapped back tweeting, “Stop looking HERE for s**t to be mad at. There are so many other things that deserve your outrage.”
A few hours later, she was much calmer and decides to explain the IVF process for those who thought she was “throwing away” babies.
Ending her rant with “Ok done” and “Please Clap.”
Hopefully everyone learned a lesson about IVF, and we wish the best for Chrissy and Legend and their future baby girl.
