The 26-year-old R&B singer discussed the horrific incident that happened before the 2009 Grammy Awards. As soon as the incident occurred Chris felt like he went from, “America’s sweetheart to public enemy No. 1,” which made him resort to drugs, and gave him thoughts about ending his life.
“I felt like a f–king monster,” Brown stated in the trailer. “I was thinking about suicide and everything else. I wasn’t sleeping. I wasn’t eating. I just was getting high.”
Chris’s mom, Joyce Hawkins, who has been by her son’s side since the incident happened revealed: “That was the worst day of my life and probably his life, I felt like I was going to lose my child.”
The 3-minute trailer also revealed Chris’ amazing talents, and his quick rise to fame. Jennifer Lopez and Usher are shown discussing the star’s talents and how capable Brown is of changing the music game forever.
Chris doesn’t think his career is over yet— he still has hope that he will soon be back at the top again. The documentary came to a close with Brown stating, “If there was ever a doubt in your mind that Chris Brown was done, he was finished— I wouldn’t bet on it.”
The trailer seems deep, emotional, and hopeful, and he may even discuss his current personal life. It would be interesting if he included things like his last relationship with model, Karrueche Tran, and daughter Royalty that he conceived with another woman while with Tran. There is no date yet on when the documentary will be released, but until then, check out the clip of the trailer below:
