I’m not sure what the weather is like where you’re from, but lately Chicago has definitely been going through some changes. Last weekend we experienced 3 seasons in one day. We literally had a blizzard Saturday morning, a brisk Fall that afternoon, and we rounded out the day with a rainy Spring. My hair was still cute though, due to Chi Helmet Head Hairspray. Now, I’m typically a Sebastian girl, but my experience at the America’s Beauty Show last month afforded me the opportunity to purchase new hair products at a really reasonable prices. Farouk Systems Inc. are most commonly recognized for their Chi flatirons, but they have an entire hair care portfolio consisting of hair sprays and heat protectants.
Chi Helmet Head Hair Spray provides an extra firm hold. It’s a fast drying aerosol hair spray that locks in full-bodied, voluminous looks throughout the day by providing protection against humidity and the wind. Available at http://farouk.loxabeauty.com/chi-helmet-head-spray on sale now for $13.50. I also found the product on sale at Walmart for $11.48 online. Products purchased through the manufacturer are insured through a 30-day return policy if you’re not completely satisfied; as well as a direct line to customer service for any complaints.
1.) Alcohol Denat: The foundation of the product, but this type of alcohol has been approved for cosmetic use. 2.) Hydrofluorocarbon 152A: Aerosol propellant. 3.) Octyacrylamide/Acrylates/Butylaminoethyl Methacrylate Copolymer: Hair hold and humidity resistance. 4.) Aminomethyl Propanol: Used to adjust a product’s pH. 5.) C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate: Thickening agent and also add shine.
I Love This Hair Spray! Keep in mind that my hair is short so I want to style it and then “hold it” in place for ~1-2 weeks. If you have hairstyles that you want to hold through weddings, proms, bahmistvas, workouts, windy and rainy seasons; then this product is for you. Please note that this is a finishing/holding hair spray for completed hairstyles. It’s not good for the entire styling process. The hold is way too firm. Also, there was no need for reapplication throughout the week. You can pretty much “spray and walk away” until you’re ready for your next shampoo. Although the hold is firm, my hair still looked soft, shiny, and healthy. I was still receiving compliments on my hair several days after I initially styled it. I am extremely satisfied with this product and will absolutely continue to use it.
