Rihanna knows a thing or two about beauty so it comes to no surprise that the Barbadian singer releases her own makeup line – Fenty Beauty. WWD reports that Kendo, a subdivision of LVMH, will be working with Rihanna to create a complete collection. Kendo also produces successful makeup lines such as Kat Von D and Marc Jacobs. Fenty Beauty is expected to hit stores in 2017 so stay tuned as we release more information as it becomes available.

SheaMoisture’s Viral Video Aims to End Beauty Aisle Segregation

SheaMoisture is looking to ‘break down the walls’ in their latest viral video aimed to end segregation in the beauty aisle.

“Breaking Down the Walls’ is about making beauty accessible to all, “Richelieu Dennis, the found and CEO of Sundial Brands, states in the video. “It’s about access to products that actually work for every hair texture and that are focused on our communities that are traditionally underserved.”

He went on: “The movement is about so much more than selling shampoos, or lotion, or cosmetics. We’re advancing a mission and vision to change the social dialogue about how we’re looking at beauty as a society and how those archaic structures and views are debilitating to the establishment of new and more inclusive ways of viewing beauty – whether in the images we see or in the aisles that divide.”

Urban Decay Releasing a New Alice in Wonderland Palette

Déjà vu anyone? If you’re a fan of Urban Decay then you may remember the beauty brand releasing the Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows palette in 2010. In anticipation of the upcoming sequel to Alice in Wonderland, Urban Decay will be launching another palette ($60) and five lipstick shades ($18 each). The palette and lippies will be available in May at Ulta and Sephora.
