When the world was first introduced to Amber Rose, she was nothing more to us than a beautiful, blonde soul that happened to be much into fashion and in a relationship with then boyfriend, Kanye West. Her marriage to Wiz Khalifa once again put her in the background, as she was often referred to as his girl. However, since then, Rose has been on a mission to articulate her thoughts and that will now come in the form of her very own talk show.
The 32-year-old took to Instagram early Tuesday morning to officially make the announcement. She further expressed her feelings on her latest venture in a statement:
“I am very excited to be joining forces with such an amazing network to deliver a fresh perspective on the primetime talk show. Join us as we break all the rules and redefine late-night. Watch out Fallon, here comes MUVA!”
Amber’s talk show, which has been picked up by VH1, is said to be produced Dr. Phil McGraw and directed by Love and Hip Hop’s Mona Scott Young. The decision to back the show was based off a new perspective; Amber’s inspiring rags to riches story: “Amber has inspired millions of young women by overcoming homelessness to become a wildly successful entrepreneur. A true multi-hyphenate, she is a devoted mother, a strong advocate for women’s rights and a celebrated author all of which make her an ideal host. Amber is a perfect addition to the VH1 family because our audience is interested in hearing unique perspectives from those who are unapologetically themselves and not afraid to take a stand on issues they are passionate about,” VH1 General Manager Chris McCarthy stated.
Within the last few years, following the end of her marriage with the father of her child, MUVA has definitely earned a name for herself. Aside from a few cameos on television, Amber has come to the defense of many females, including herself, through social media and the launch of her Slut Walk campaign. The release of her book, “How to Be A Bad Bitch,” made her an author and her clapbacks prove that she is not one to be messed with. Let’s not forget to mention that her best title is mother to her baby boy, Sebastian!
It is amazing to see how far Amber Rose has come, all while staying true to herself. We wish her luck and success on this television show.
