There are various historic landmarks in many cities across The United States. Places like Chicago, Washington D.C, Boston, New York, just to name a few. These cities have some of the most amazing museums and if you visit, you’re sure to understand why.
Known for several museums all in the same vicinity of one another. The District of Columbia is home of The Smithsonian, The Air and Space Museum, The Holocaust Memorial Museum, as well as The Museum of Crime and Punishment. In addition, The International Spy Museum, The American History Museum, The American Indian Museum, The National Gallery of Art, and The Natural History Museum. Being built in 2016 is The National Museum of African American History and Culture is expected to be complete in September, and Dupont Underground at the beginning of summer. Washington D.C. is a great place to visit for it’s historic landmarks.
New York City
This is hands down one of the most amazing cities to visit in the world. New York City has tons of museums and a lot of culture to take in. It’s home to The Brooklyn Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Museum of Modern Art), as well as The Museum of the City of New York. In addition, New York houses The Bronx Museum of the Arts, The Children’s Museum of Manhattan, The Museum of Sex, as well as Queens Museum. Some of the must see exhibits in this area include, The New Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, and Whitney Museum of American Art. New York City has tons of things to do and see if you’re intrigued by art of any kind.
is a really beautiful place to visit. It is home to a lot of museums, and art galleries. The Boston Fire Museum, The Boston African American National Historic Site, Boston Children’s Museum, and The Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, are all located in Boston. Also located in this city is The John F. Kennedy Library & Museum, The Gibson House Museum, and The U.S.S Constitution Museum.
Chicago has tons of beautiful scenery and is one of the best places to visit for museums and the arts scene. Chicago houses The Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Contemporary Art, The Field Museum of Natural History, The Swedish American Museum, The National Veterans Art Museum, The Museum of Broadcast Communications, just to name a few. If you plan on visiting be sure DeSable Museum of African American History, The Museum of Science and Industry, The Shedd Aquarium, Alder Planetarium. It’s probably not possible to visit all of these places during your trip, but be sure to visit at least two.
Los Angeles is most known for it’s nightlife, party scene, and it’s beaches. However, Los Angeles is also home to The Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Getty Center, The Hammer Museum, and The Grammy Museum, just to name a few. Also located in this city is The J Paul Museum, The California African American Museum, The Los Angeles Fire Department Museum and Memorial. There is tons of things to do in LA, so just try to make it to at least one of these museums in between all the other cool things you have planned.
