MC DONALDS (KIANA WEBB-SEVERLOH)
Kiana Webb- Sevelah is a second-generation McDonald’s franchise owner. Her father Reginald Webb was recruited to become an McDonald’s manage in 1973. Webb was a recent graduate of Cal State in Los Angeles. That same year, the quarter pounder made its debut! In 2011 McDonalds made the choice to broaden their menus to add healthier alternatives. We can enjoy a juicy quarter pounder but also indulge in a nice salad. When you are super sizing your meal, don’t forget that this business is a black owned business. Something to be proud of when you drive by your local golden arches.

Venus Williams- (JAMBA JUICE)
Not only is Venus Williams serving both on and off the court. Williams not only became the spokesperson for the popular Jamba Juice but a franchise owner as well. The popular Tennis star has opened up 6 Jamba Juices in the Washington D.C and Maryland area. What was Venus’ thought process when she decided to become a franchise owner? “My goal is to help inspire our nation’s youth to become more active and to make better dietary choices. As a recognized healthy, active lifestyle brand that offers simple menu solutions for eating right while engaging in healthy activities, Jamba Juice is a perfect fit to help me in that endeavor,” said Venus Williams. Perfect serve for a great player.
Two are a popular food franchise and one is a popular juice bar. Showcasing these three franchises that are owned by blacks should inspire you to one day have a franchise of your own.
