As parents, it is our responsibility to nurture and guide our children. A major part of that innate responsibility, involves the words we use when communicating with them. With all of the voices in the world that have the ability to affect our children’s perspectives and thoughts of themselves, it is important that we are intentional with this daily. A good phrase it can be commonly called is, “speaking life” into your sons.

Furthermore, raising black sons, they need them to be confident in whom they are. There is a definite need to build them up now so they aren’t easily torn down by outside influences. As parents it is essential to make sure your sons are fully equipped, emotionally and mentally to take on the world when their time comes.
